About the speaker
Lisa Coppin
At KU Leuven Lisa aims to improve the well-being of young researchers through workshops, info sessions, and consulting, among others. Her additional focus is on supervisors and tenure track professors.
Lisa holds a master’s degree in languages & literature, but has been working in HR since the start of her career some 25 years ago. She has worked in a variety of contexts ranging from academia, public service and social and non profit. Since 2013, she has been an independent coach, consultant and trainer in her own practice Groeiinzicht, focusing on career development, team development, leadership and well-being. Lisa joined the KU Leuven HR Department in 2024 to provide support, together with her colleagues, on a topic close to her heart: health and well-being in academia.
Lisa has a husband, a daughter and a cat. She loves hiking and stories in all their forms (written, drawn, spoken, in series or movies, …). Words that characterize her, are: development-oriented, enthusiastic, eager to learn and empathetic.
